Suggestions Anyone???

I need any suggestions that anyone has to help me lose some weight. I weigh the same thing now that I did one year ago when I had a new baby. I don't feel like myself. Everything I put on seems too tight. But I can't get motivated to work harder at getting this baby weight off. I'll get so sick of it and do really well for a day or two then go back to what is simple, fast and easy. I need something simple, fast and easy that helps me be healthier!

The best suggestions I can give are:

1. Eat 5 small meals a day.
2.Always make sure you eat breakfast.
3.Include some type of protein for every meal. (ie milk, low fat cheese, nuts, peanut butter, meat)
4.Replace simple carbs with more complex carbs. i.e. whole wheat/grain foods
5.Try to do cardio 45 minutes of cardio at least 3 days/week with 20 minutes of strength training 3 days/week. The more you move the more you burn, so staying active is key!
6.Increase veggie intake. They fill you up and don't have the high amount of calories.
7. Rarely weigh yourself. It can be more disouraging than anything. You will know if you are making changes by the way your clothes feel.
8. Have a partner to go through the process with. (ie husband, friend) Having someone who helps keep you accountable helps you to stay on track.

I have several different exercise videos if you want to borrow any. Also, KBYU has an exercise program (Total Body Workout) at 10 am each day. M, W, and F is yoga and T and TH are cardio. It's pretty easy to follow, and it is nice because you get different things so you don't get bored and your body doesn't get used to doing the same thing all of the time.

Hope that helps!

Just buy bigger clothes. That's what I do. Someday, I may be able to shop at the big and tall store, even though I'm not getting any taller. lol

Hey Emily- My approches to weight loss are small and they take a little longer but they work and I am able to stay sane while doing it. Mostly I use portion control and exercise. I also allow myself one treat a day, I just have to be careful to not go too crazy with it.
